What is Microneedling PRP?

Microneedling is a technique that uses multiple tiny, sterile needles to puncture the skin and stimulate skin regeneration. The micro-perforations cause the skin to start its healing process and rebuild more elastin and collagen which improve skin texture, acne scars, wrinkles, and skin pigmentations.

Microneedling PRP injections are made from your own blood, which is collected and centrifuged on-site.  From this sample, we will use the Plasma that is Rich in Platelets and re-inject it into the skin. Platelet Rich Plasma uses the regenerative and healing properties of blood platelets. They have the ability to locally release growth factors which are small molecules that act as messengers, to activate the skin’s regeneration mechanisms. Plasma contains factors that are essential to cell life, such as nutrients, vitamins, hormones, minerals, and proteins, and thus allows for the proliferation of skin cells.

This particular technique can be applied to different parts of the body such as the face, neck, chest, hands, or scalp to stimulate cell regeneration.

What can I expect from Microneedling PRP?

Since Platelets rich in Plasma is the product of your own natural body, there is no fear of rejection or assimilation problems with the product – it is your own cells, and therefore a perfect combination for you. Results may differ from one person to another depending on our platelet rates and individual response.

The stimulation of cellular regeneration by the action of microneedling and the injection of PRP will :

  • Reduces the appearance of enlarged pores
  • Reduces acne scars
  • Evens skin tone
  • Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Gives skin a fresh glow
  • Gives skin a firmer, smoother texture
  • Helps lighten sunspots
Microneedling-PRP treatment at Sunny Aesthetic

What is a microneedling PRP procedure at Sunny Aesthetic?

Before the treatment, an anesthetic cream can be applied to the area. This treatment is not painful but may cause some discomfort. Your blood is then drawn by the practitioner and placed in a medical centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells.

During the separation process, the skin is cleaned and degreased to receive the treatment. Once the PRP is ready, it is applied to the chosen area (face/hand/neck) using the microneedling pen. The depth of penetration will be selected according to your skin type. At Sunny Aesthetic, we offer different types of PRP delivery from microneedling and small injections to the cannula technique. The treatment takes about 30 minutes or more depending on the size of the area.

Our patients can observe red skin but the majority of redness subsides within 24 hours. However, if more aggressive treatment was done the redness may last longer. Our patients also may experience mild swelling and bruising that usually subsides in two days.

– Drinking alcohol

– Do not apply make up

– Smoking

We recommend to drink plenty of water and walk at least 30 min before the procedure to increase the number of Platelet in your blood circulation.
